From Boyd Martin, Caretaker Pure Energy Rx Pure Energy Rx December, 2002, Portland, Oregon, USA Dear Readers, Happy Holidays! And we send the very best for a bright and joyful New Year. This month's newsletter is in honor of two families who lost love ones in the battle against cancer. As with any challenge in life, we can choose a path of resignation and bitterness, or a path of proactive involvement to move our lives forward and the lives of others we touch. Illness is never a pretty thing; to watch a loved one suffer is a helpless and devastating experience. It is made even worse by the loss of their life despite so called heroic and state-of-the-art medical care made available by attending physicians. I am honored to have known Marianne Schafer the last few months of her magnificent life. I met a number of people while living in Las Vegas, not one would I have liked to have known better or longer then Marianne. Sadly, that was not to be. In honor of her life a book was written, Angel In My Pocket, by her devoted husband Jerry Schafer--academy award winning producer, screenwriter, lyricist...and his most cherished casting call of all, the husband of Marianne Schafer. What life serves us may not be always what we want, but we do have a choice to take from the sadness, loss and grief an opportunity to contribute to other by sharing our experiences in the hopes they will make a difference. Mr. Schafer chose the latter, and in the chosing, a book was published to honor Marianne's memory and allows others to experience this courageous woman and benefit from her story. You may order this book from the link above or by calling Beginning to End Publishing at 702-647-8694, Las Vegas, Nevada. Rozzy Keanna lost her mother to liver cancer. Her mother was her best friend. From that loss a calendar was create to honor her mother's life and to be a resource of Alternative Health care choices, something not available to Rozzy's mother during her illness. Gathering this information was a journey of healing for Rozzy and a brilliant contribution to the world, because it provides choices for cancer care beyond conventional care from heart-centered practitioners, many of which had lost a loved one to cancer and began looking for alternatives themselves to provide their patients. The Holidays are a time of giving and receiving, of looking back over the past year with reflection and graditude. I thank both Mr. Schafer and Rozzy for their contribution to the world, for their willingness to move past the sorrow and to create something in honor of another, all with the possibility of blessing our global community.
Many warm and sincere blessings,
Thanks for tuning in to this month's newsletter. We hope to hear from you soon!
