We continue to have a lot of changes from using the E-3 Live Klamath Lake Blue-Green Algae from Vision. I noticed it has a marked effect on my appetite--I'm not as hungry, and my bowels are definitely clearing out faster (too much information?)... It has mostly been for me an excellent de-toxer. Boyd has had similar experiences, although he has ended up adding about a tablespoon of E-3 to his quart jar of water he takes to yoga class. He says it gives him a definite and welcome boost to his energy level during the 90-minute hot yoga class. He also reports more flexibility generally, and no more mid-day sleepies.
Very interesting information is posted on the E-3 website--we highly recommend checking it out. There's also a book chock full of fascinating facts about this outstanding superfood.
I got a kick out of the Vibrant Living Tip this week, "Mosquito Myths" (below). Turns out women really ARE more attractive to mosquitoes than men! And, did you know that because of global warming, mosquitoes are getting more aggressive? Also, the link to the main article has great tips on repelling the pesky beasts...

Mosquito Myths Exposed...
Dermatologist Jeanine Downie helped "Good Morning America" break down what works and what doesn't and evaluate some popular theories about fighting mosquitoes.
Theory No. 1: Mosquitoes like to bite women more than men.
True. Women often wear perfume and moisturizers that attract mosquitoes and women have pheromones the bugs love. Also, women generally have thinner skin, which is easier to bite.
Theory No. 2: You're safer from mosquitoes in cold weather.
False. Mosquito larvae are getting more and more aggressive and surviving colder weather because of global warming, so you're more and more likely to see them in colder climates.
Theory No. 3: Bites itch more at night.
False. Most bites stop itching within 24 to 72 hours. Of those hours, the ones that will be most excruciating are those that itch when you're trying to fall asleep. But that's not because the bite is actually itching more. It's that you're less distracted and less busy, so you notice it more.
Theory No. 4: Antihistamines are the best itch remedy.
False. Hydrocortisone has a broader anti-inflammatory effect than antihistamines. Antihistamines also have alcohol, which has a drying effect, so you're better off topically applying hydrocortisone. The exception is that if you're covered in mosquito bites, you may want an antihistamine to help you fall asleep.
Theory No. 5: Scratching bites is always bad.
True. It's always always, always bad. The more you scratch the more you want to itch. And if that's not enough to make you stop, remember: Scratching leaves dark marks and can lead to infection.
