It's been an unusually cool and moist summer up here in Western Oregon--which is not what most Oregonians prefer. After patiently enduring the tedium of endless cloudy and rainy days from Halloween to Independence Day, we're gasping for some prolonged sunshine to make up the deficit. There have been about three days where it got a little over 90, and then, bam, right back to 60s, clouds and drizzle. Because the climate here seems to balance out predictably, the consensus is that summer is just late, and we'll have a nice, hot Indian Summer through October.

And then, I saw the maple trees. They're turning already! If anyone still disagrees with human-caused climate change on our fair planet, they're in serious denial...
