As summer comes into full bloom, Shay reports she has been taking on assignments managing the Optimum Health Institute's garden, and having a great time harvesting cucumbers, zuchini--and cycling the wheatgrass. She'll be returning home with lots of organic gardening skills, and plans to write about her insights for this newsletter, so stay tuned for that.
I've been out touring nationally with a band (I'm the drummer), and economic issues are obvious everywhere we go. Since our last tour last year, gasoline prices have nearly doubled, and is a significant issue in our V-8 Ford extended van.
With a combination of a barrage of bad economic news, soaring fuel prices, and food prices spiking, it's easy to fall into the trap of financial worry. As with all worry, it can create a magnet for the precise object of the worry. And therein lies the path to acheiving some peace about the subject.
In this issue, we're including a very useful article from the HeartMath Institute about reducing financial stress (see below). It's easy to lose perspective when money stressors engage all of your attention, and can become self-fulfilling prophesies. Instead of allocating your attention to the worry itself, you can re-direct attention in constructive ways to disrupt the cycle of worry.
Part of living a vibrant life is a deep faith and confidence in the power of gratitude, and a certainty that giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin. The more you use that coin, the more opportunities present to further give and receive.
The truth is that we are living in a sea of abundant resources and opportunities. The skill comes in learning how to allow greater and greater flow of this abundance into our lives.
Steps to reduce financial stress...
If you're feeling worried and anxious about money, you're not alone. For millions of people, financial stress is eating away at their basic sense of security and well-being. And it's not just bank accounts that are being drained, but also physical and emotional resources, which in turn impact health, relationships, productivity and happiness.
Focusing on feelings of gratitude: Sit down and make a list of what you're grateful for. It's hard to feel anxious or scared while focusing on feelings of gratitude.
Be more objective: Stepping outside yourself enables you to see things more dispassionately, without being as invested in the outcome.
Shift your focus: Stop and remember the basic conveniences and luxuries you may take for granted, it puts our financial situations in a larger wholeness perspective.
Don't over-saturate yourself: While staying informed is important, try to watch or read the financial news without getting lost in a negative mindset.
Take advantage of new technology: There's innovative stress reduction software available that can save you from the emotional drain of stress.
Don't keep everything to yourself: Reach out to a friend who can help you gain a clearer perspective, but not necessarily one who will simply add drama to your situation.
Give some money away: It doesn't matter how much. Knowing you have enough to share builds your own sense of personal empowerment.
Don't punish yourself with blame or shame: Having financial difficulties does not equate to failure. Change is constant and that includes your finances.
While money issues are real, they don?t have to destroy you. Letting go of stress, even for just a few minutes at a time, can lead towards fresh ideas and new solutions. If you?re looking for greater prosperity and peace of mind, reducing stress is a risk-free financial strategy. MORE
Life Energy Pack
Hook your body up to a life energy battery! Give your body the energy it needs to heal itself. Most naturopathic physicians will tell you that the main problem with giving herbal formulas or homeopathics, is that very often their patients' bodies lack enough ENERGY to fully utilize the healing properties of the medicines. To help fix this, the doctors will then prescribe dietary fasts, massage or acupuncture in an attempt to get energy into the body system. Once this has been done, then the herbal formulas will have much more punch and less waste.
Modern-day quantum physics has begun to scientifically explain these ancient practices, and new technologies are now available as a result. Quantum physics refers to this life energy, or "chi," as SUBTLE ENERGY. Without having to get too technical, the laws of quantum physics allow that life energy can be transferred from one substance to another. This is where the Life Energy Super Pack comes in... >>>> MORE INFO
