Fri., Nov. 7, 1997, Little Bear Saloon, Evergreen, CO -- I took a nice, long 5-mile walk from the band house to the music store, finally getting more used to the altitude. Joel at Evergreen Music was very helpful with his discounts for sticks, and promised to be at the show tonight. I bought a mike hole reinforcement ring for the kick drum, and on the way back, installed it. It is a beautifully crisp, sunny day, with temps in the 50s. Ahh, Colorado! The gig filled up nicely by around 10:30 p.m., and I was impressed with the sound onstage--very good. Although the band has been playing together for only about three weeks, we're feeling much more together than that. Good synergy. Joel showed up with his wife and was very complimentary.
