Origins
The Jumpers came to pass in the 80's, via Eddy "E.Z." Campy after his stint with the Curtis Salgado band. It then became the band name for Eddy's special projects alongside his work with other high-profile bands. Eddy has an uncanny talent of organizing top-notch players to deliver some of the best blues, soul and R&B in the Pacific Northwest. Currently (Jan. 2007), Eddy is joined by guitarist, Ray Davis; drummer, Jim Buix; Keyboardist/Trumpeter, Joe McCarthy; and the "Heart Attack Horns," with sax man, Allyn Jackson. The band lineup is flexible, catering to the needs of the occasion, venue, and audience. High quality music is always guaranteed.

Notable Appearances
The Jumpers spent years playing blues, rock, and jazz nightclubs around the Portland Area, with more high-profile gigs such as the Waterfront Blues Festival (2003 & 2004), and the "Home Grown" music radio show on local college FM station, KMHD, the Rogue Brew Festival in Newport, Oregon, and the Estacada Summer Celebration. The band hosted a Sunday night blues jam at the Longhorn Saloon in Deep SE Portland for nearly a year, using the loose format and looser atmosphere to break out and polish several original compositions. On Mondays at the Longhorn The Jumpers hosted Special Guest night, where Portland's blues luminaries came to sit in: Lloyd Jones, Paul deLay, Jim Mesi, J.R. Sims, and Ellen Whyte, to drop a few names... As good things often do, the Longhorn nights came to an end, but The Jumpers soon ended up hosting the "Friendly Jam" at the Trail's End Saloon in Oregon City on Wednesday nights--a gig they continued for nearly a year and a half. In 2005, The Jumpers were a featured act at the Oregon Events Association annual convention, and was enjoyed so much, they invited us back for 2006. The band performed at the Taste of Tillamook County, and performed at the 2005 Waterfront Blues Festival. In December, 2006, The Jumpers rocked the Cascade Blues Association monthly meeting in Portland.
